One Way to Build Trust Right from your Profile

Let's get right to it. . .

THE TRICK: Say something personal about yourself. Just ONE thing.

WHY?

Because building trust means creating a HUMAN connection.

Because people want to know you as a HUMAN FIRST.

THEN they will want to talk to you.

THEN they will be dazzled and buy from you.

But it's critical to escape this classic mistake. DON'T do it like this:

"Marvella enjoys spending time with family and exploring the great state of Colorado."

Since literally thousands of people say that about themselves.

Some better examples:

"I live in Minneapolis with my husband, two troublemaking dogs, and a bunch of old computer cords we’re afraid to throw away." Cheers to @rachel kay albers for that one!

Right? How great is that line? Mainly because we know exactly what she's talking about.

Or this one:

"There's nothing I love more than analyzing your numbers so you can make more money. Okay, maybe banana bread, but I swear, otherwise you're number one!"

Or this one:

"When I'm not strategizing with clients, I'm jamming with my band, Rotten to the AppleCore." (cheers to Amber Swenor for helping me build that one)

it's not that hard.

And there's a formula:

1. Choose something average about yourself.

2. Add something quirky about yourself

3. Put them together in a sentence.

BE BRAVE!

Example:

"I like to run marathons and go to garage sales. Not on the same day."

Go on, do it now in the comments. I'll give you feedback.
