Why You Should Stop "Taking the Edge Off"...and a bit about Frog Poison.

Today I'm going to tell you about how I let someone inject frog poison into my veins.

But first, I have a question:

Ever done something to "take the edge off...."?

Maybe you do this frequently? Every night or every weekend?

Maybe it's Wine or Weed or Gossip Girl or Nutella or the NHL?

If so, you're like most humans. (i.e. ME)

And these Edge-Removers can be a healthy thing in moderation.

But what if I told you that...repeatedly "taking the edge off" and "numbing out" instead of "feeling in" wasn't always a good idea?

What if I told you that taking the edge off all the time actually PREVENTED you from the PAIN....

that helped you get to the TIPPING POINT....

that inspired the biggest CHANGE in your LIFE and your BRAND?

And I'm talking about this because a couple months ago, I purposely put myself through an BIG FAT EDGE FEST.

Edges everywhere.

Edges with hearts.

Edges with fangs.

Edges with bunny years.

Edges wearing high heels.

Lots of edges.

I actually paid someone to:

--Burn my skin

--Inject poison into my wounds

--Blog-I mean Blow... nicotine powder up my nose.

--Make my eyes sting

--Make me throw up

The poison comes from a frog who lives in the treetops of the Amazon.

The experience was like walking through fire......for the good of my soul.

I was WELCOMING.....ACUTE EDGE........INTO my life.

Because when we are as PRESENT as we can be.......when we are in PAIN, we are FEELING IT ALL.

Not pushing it away.

Not wanting it to be different.

Not distracting ourselves.

Not locking the cage of our heart.

Not ignoring our whispers.

Not pretending it's not there.

Are you BRAVE enough to feel the edge?

With its sharp corners and fear of falling and narrow ledge?

Whether it's rain or heartbreak or sand or death or wind or traffic or waiting in line?

Because while that frog poison is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, you don't need it.

All you need to do is skip the VICE. And FEEL what happens. And KEEP SITTING WITH IT.
